Technology and WIC—A Comprehensive Approach to Public Health

Georgia WIC plans to build on an existing statewide telehealth platform, Pathways Telehealth, to extend services beyond present boundaries, expanding the telehealth options to web and mobile and decrease barriers to access in rural communities, with the goal of influencing dietary habits and infant feeding practices.

Angela Hammond-Damon – Project Director

Angela Hammond-Damon is the Deputy Director of eWIC for the Georgia Department of Public Health WIC Office, and the Project Director for the Georgia THIS-WIC Project. Angela is currently responsible for the EBT and MIS projects and has previously provided oversite to, managed, and coordinated other grant projects related to Head Start and breastfeeding support.

Micah Manu – Project Manager

Micah Manu is the Policy and Compliance Manager for Georgia Department of Public Health WIC Program, and the Project Manager for the Georgia THIS-WIC Project. Micah has worked with WIC for over ten years, and across multiple platforms to provide remote WIC services.

Todd Stormant – Project Coordinator

Todd Stormant works as the state Nutrition Services Manager for Georgia Department of Public Health WIC Program and is the Project Coordinator for the Georgia THIS-WIC Project. Todd has been instrumental in expanding the state’s usage of Telehealth systems for participant usage. Micah and Todd will work in tandem under the direction of Angela.
